On 1-2 September, we set up shop at our first large scale conference post pandemic! Like most, we had not participated in a big conference in a while, and honestly, it was quite a whirl trying to get back into the groove of events – from speaking with the event organisers, to preparing materials for the show, right down to exhibiting on the day, the Marketing team was all hands on deck!
At the 3rd Annual HASH Innovation Asia Summit 2022, our Singapore country head, Simon Xie, spoke on the panel about future investment trends and capital raising strategies to accelerate SMEs in today’s climate. How can FinTech players enable small businesses to tap on the right kind of financing for them? Where SMEs face hurdles obtaining business financing from traditional financial institutions, digital lenders plug that gap with customisable working capital or bridging loans disbursed in as quick as 24 hours.
Simon also touched on the trend of retail investors seeking alternative sources of returns that can offer diversification from traditional markets.
The running theme across his remarks is scalability and growth, be it for small businesses seeking to internationalise and need working capital in order to do so, or investors looking for information on various investment options and opportunities.

This tied back into the event’s theme to innovate, collaborate, and globalise for the future of a sustainable economy. As a company that aims to uplift SMEs and economies throughout Southeast Asia, we had to be present.

Our Sales team was down on the ground ready to mingle with the conference delegates during the session breaks, getting a feel of their interest in the topics discussed. Here’s a look at the team all set up and ready to go!

Our reps introduced how Funding Societies’ business solutions can improve cash flow for small businesses and help them scale and grow in a sustainable manner.

This event was a platform for C-suites and leaders of start-ups and SMEs, government and investors to discuss innovation, technology, and globalisation, with sustainability in mind. These opportunities allowed businesses to learn, forge partnerships, and grow.
Here’s to more physical events and conferences to come and we look forward to seeing you in person!
