Remember these do’s and don’ts
Check for Official Information: Always check the company’s official site to get the official contact number ,email id and social media handles.

Check for Verification: If you see similar pages sharing the same name of the organization, On Instagram and Facebook, verified accounts have a special blue checkmark next to their name. If you don’t see that blue checkmark, go to the official page. They often have links that take you to their real social accounts.

You can verify social media official pages by visiting FS official sites in respective regions.

  • Examine the Profile: Inspect the profile carefully. Fake profiles often have incomplete information, no or few posts, and an unusually low number of followers.
  • Analyze Content: Look at the posts and content shared. Fake profiles may have generic or spammy posts and often share links to questionable websites.
  • Google Reverse Image Search: If you suspect a fake profile’s profile picture is stolen, you can use Google’s reverse image search to see if it appears elsewhere on the internet.
  • Report Fake Profiles: Report any fake profiles or suspicious activity to the social media platform. They have mechanisms in place to investigate and take action. You can also contact us and report social media suspicious activity through our official sites.
  • Beware of Requests for Personal Information or Money: Please keep the following things in mind:
    • Funding Societies never ask for any personal information or financial information via non official social media accounts / websites.
    • Funding Societies never ask of requiring fees as part of recruitment/sourcing activities. If someone acts like they work for the company and asks for requiring fee. For us to verify whether it is a legitimate request or not report it right away on the company’s official website.
    • Make sure to double-check the authenticity of the mobile number. Caller IDs aren’t always reliable.
  • Business Email Compromise Fraud: It is a type of cyberattack where a cybercriminal impersonates a trusted entity, typically a high-ranking executive or a reputable company, in order to make payments into fake accounts. Points to remember while facing such a situation:
    • Please do not engage with unverified / non official calls or suspecting emails that claim to be related to money transfers , loans impersonating Funding Societies. These are likely fraudulent attempts.
    • If you receive suspicious calls or emails claiming to be from Funding Societies, or if you notice unauthorized money withdrawals, please report these incidents through our official website. Your prompt notification helps us take the necessary actions to protect you. We take these matters seriously and appreciate your help in keeping our community safe.
